Battleground

Battleground, a 2006 tele-film directed by Brian Henson, featured a HDPS-controlled Jeep created by Jim Henson's Creature Shop.

The film focuses on a professional hit man who successfully murders the CEO of a prestigious toy company only to fight of his life when the toys come seeking revenge. The teleplay, written by Richard Christian Matheson, was based upon the short story by Stephen King. The tele-film was made for TNT, airing as part of the "Nightmares and Dreamscapes" anthology series in July 2006..

The Jeep in "Battleground" was created by Jim Henson's Creature Shop using the Henson Digital Performance Studio and was "driven" around the set with a remote control joystick. The design team took background plates from the show and played them through a HDPS viewer to do a real-time composite with the Jeep's animation to bring it all together.
